Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and creative lessons that challenge students and promote critical thinking.
  • Plan and prepare lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students, including those with special educational needs, English as an Additional Language (EAL), and gifted and talented students.
  • Create a positive and stimulating classroom environment that encourages learning and personal growth.
  • Support the development of teaching and learning across the key stage by working closely with KS1 leaders.
  • Assess and monitor student progress in line with school assessments and provide regular feedback to parents.
  • Facilitate hybrid, distance, and face-to-face learning effectively.
  • Participate in school events, extra-curricular activities, and community initiatives.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and carers to update them on student progress and well-being.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Primary Education or a Bachelor's degree with a mandatory post-teaching qualification (PGCE or similar in Primary Education).
  • Minimum of 1 year experience teaching the England National Curriculum (ENC) in a primary setting.

Preferred

  • Experience working with EAL students.
  • Recent and consistent involvement in extra-curricular activities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to communicate with parents in a diverse, multi-cultural environment.
  • IT literacy and familiarity with online technologies for 21st-century teaching.
  • Passion for teaching and a commitment to educating and nurturing children.
