Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and creative lessons that challenge students and promote critical thinking.
- Plan and prepare lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students, including those with special educational needs, English as an Additional Language (EAL), and gifted and talented students.
- Create a positive and stimulating classroom environment that encourages learning and personal growth.
- Support the development of teaching and learning across the key stage by working closely with KS1 leaders.
- Assess and monitor student progress in line with school assessments and provide regular feedback to parents.
- Facilitate hybrid, distance, and face-to-face learning effectively.
- Participate in school events, extra-curricular activities, and community initiatives.
- Communicate regularly with parents and carers to update them on student progress and well-being.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Primary Education or a Bachelor's degree with a mandatory post-teaching qualification (PGCE or similar in Primary Education).
- Minimum of 1 year experience teaching the England National Curriculum (ENC) in a primary setting.
Preferred
- Experience working with EAL students.
- Recent and consistent involvement in extra-curricular activities.
- Strong interpersonal skills to communicate with parents in a diverse, multi-cultural environment.
- IT literacy and familiarity with online technologies for 21st-century teaching.
- Passion for teaching and a commitment to educating and nurturing children.
