Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Criminology and Sociology lessons to Level 3 and A Level students.
- Motivate and challenge students to achieve their full potential and produce outstanding work.
- Assess, record, and track student progress effectively.
- Develop engaging and innovative teaching resources and materials.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning across the department.
- Support students from a range of backgrounds and ensure inclusive practices.
- Maintain strong communication with students, parents, and other staff members.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school through extra-curricular activities and events.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A degree (or equivalent) in Criminology, Sociology, or a related subject.
- Proven teaching experience in a school or college setting.
- Demonstrable ability to lead and deliver effective teaching and learning.
- Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to working with students from diverse backgrounds.
Preferred
- Experience teaching Level 3 and A Level Criminology and Sociology.
- Knowledge of current trends and developments in Criminology and Sociology.
- Experience with pastoral care and student support.
- Familiarity with assessment and tracking systems.
