The Opportunity:

As a Breakfast Club Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring the safety, wellbeing, and care of children during the early morning hours. This is an essential position in supporting students and contributing to a positive school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safety, security, and wellbeing of children during the breakfast club session.
  • Supervise and support students in a caring and structured environment.
  • Maintain a positive and engaging atmosphere for all children.
  • Liaise with teaching staff and other support staff to ensure consistent care and support for students.
  • Monitor and report any incidents or concerns promptly.
  • Assist with the setup and management of the breakfast club area.
  • Encourage and promote positive behaviour and social interaction among students.
  • Follow all safeguarding and child protection policies and procedures.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience working with children in a supervisory or care role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain a calm and positive environment under pressure.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
  • Reliability and punctuality, with a strong work ethic.

Preferred

  • Previous experience in a school or educational setting.
  • Knowledge of child development and behaviour management.
  • Experience in managing a breakfast club or similar after-school programme.
  • First aid or emergency care training.
