Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate the development of a high-quality, engaging English curriculum.

- Collaborate with colleagues to align teaching and learning with school-wide goals.

- Work closely with senior leadership to shape the strategic direction of English education.
- Promote a culture of excellence, inclusivity, and student-centered learning.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in leading curriculum development in a secondary school setting.
- Strong subject knowledge in English and a deep understanding of the curriculum.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate teachers and students.
- Experience in working within a school improvement framework.
Preferred
- Experience in leading a team of teachers or departmental leadership.
- Familiarity with assessment and progression frameworks.
- Experience with curriculum design and implementation in a high-achieving school.
- Passion for promoting literacy and a love of learning in students.
