The Opportunity:

This Maths Teacher role offers an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and successful department focused on inspiring students and achieving outstanding academic results. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering a high-quality curriculum and supporting student progress across all ability levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Mathematics from Key Stage 3 through to Key Stage 4, with the possibility of teaching A-Level Mathematics.
  • Deliver engaging lessons using a range of high-quality resources and digital tools such as Mathswatch, Dr Frost, and Integral Maths.
  • Support students in achieving excellent academic results, including success in IGCSE and A-Level examinations.
  • Contribute to the development and review of departmental policies and practices.
  • Participate in departmental events, competitions, and extracurricular activities to enhance student engagement and learning.
  • Provide individualised support to students, particularly in lower-ability sets, to ensure focused and effective learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a high standard of teaching and learning across the department.
  • Take on specific responsibilities within the department, including leadership and mentoring roles where appropriate.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Mathematics education.
  • Ability to teach Mathematics from Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 4.
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.
  • Commitment to fostering a love of Mathematics in students of all abilities.
  • Experience in using digital tools and resources to enhance teaching and learning.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching Mathematics at A-Level.
  • A proven track record of achieving high academic results in Mathematics.
  • Experience in curriculum development and department leadership.
  • Familiarity with the Pearson GCE specification and endorsed resources.
