The Opportunity:

We are seeking passionate professionals to support students with special educational needs and disabilities in a dynamic, student-centered environment. As a Post 16 SEND Teacher, Student Support Worker, HLTA, or LSA, you will help shape the learning journey of students who have experienced challenges in education and require individualized support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with special educational needs and disabilities in a personalized learning environment
  • Deliver tailored interventions and support to meet individual student needs
  • Work closely with teaching staff and other professionals to create an inclusive learning experience
  • Assist in the development and delivery of a flexible, low-demand curriculum
  • Promote a safe, supportive, and empowering environment for students
  • Engage students in learning through blended methods including online resources and workbooks
  • Monitor and support student progress across academic and personal development
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure a holistic approach to student care

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Minimum of one year’s experience working within a secondary education setting or similar environment
  • Relevant qualifications depending on the role (e.g., Qualified Teacher Status for teachers; HLTA accreditation for HLTA roles)
  • Strong understanding of SEND strategies and interventions
  • Excellent communication skills with students, parents/carers, and colleagues
  • Good organisational skills with attention to detail

Preferred

  • Experience working with students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs (SEMH)
  • Experience with blended learning approaches and online resources
  • Knowledge of differentiated and pupil-led curriculum models
  • Experience in creating and delivering bespoke learning programmes
