The Opportunity:
We are seeking a motivated Payroll and Financial Accountant to join our Finance Department and support the accurate and timely processing of payroll and financial information. This role is essential to the smooth operation of the school’s financial systems and will involve close collaboration with multiple departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and process payroll operations with accuracy and efficiency.
- Support the wider accounts function, ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
- Liaise with the Payroll and People Accountant and HR Department to coordinate payroll activities.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and reports.
- Ensure all payroll and financial processes are completed on time and within budget.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Monitor and manage multiple stakeholders to ensure smooth workflow and communication.
- Use MHR iTrent and other financial software to support payroll and accounting tasks.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in payroll and financial administration.
- Strong attention to detail and high level of organisation.
- Ability to manage workload and meet strict deadlines.
- Experience working in an educational environment is advantageous.
Preferred
- Knowledge of MHR iTrent and other financial systems.
- Experience in managing multiple stakeholders and coordinating across departments.
- Understanding of child protection and safeguarding procedures.
