The Opportunity:

As a Debate Coach, you will guide students in mastering debate formats like Public Forum and British Parliamentary, preparing them for local and national competitions. This role is ideal for passionate educators looking to make an impact in China’s education landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and deliver engaging debate curriculum tailored to student skill levels
Coach students in research, argumentation, and rebuttal techniques
Prepare students for competitive tournaments and events
Collaborate with a team of international educators to enhance program quality
Support student progress through individualized feedback and mentorship
Plan and organize debate sessions, including practice rounds and strategy sessions
Maintain communication with parents and school staff to ensure student success
Stay updated on debate trends and incorporate new strategies into teaching

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

Bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years of debate coaching experience
Proven ability to work in China for a minimum of 2 years
Strong communication and leadership skills
Experience in teaching or coaching in an educational setting

Preferred

Experience with Public Forum, British Parliamentary, or World Schools debate formats
Teaching experience in international or bilingual schools
Fluency in Chinese (spoken and written)
Familiarity with Model United Nations and other competitive formats
