The Opportunity:

As the Head of Performing Arts, you will lead the performing arts department and inspire students to achieve their full potential through innovative and engaging arts education. This role is pivotal in shaping the school’s arts curriculum and driving student success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the performing arts department to ensure high-quality teaching and learning
  • Develop and implement the embedded arts curriculum in collaboration with external partners
  • Inspire and motivate students through creative and challenging learning experiences
  • Support the professional development of subject teachers and provide mentorship
  • Oversee the provision of peripatetic music, dance, and drama teachers
  • Promote the values and aspirations of the school through all aspects of the performing arts
  • Manage resources effectively to support student learning and development
  • Ensure a safe and purposeful learning environment that encourages student engagement

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven leadership experience in a performing arts department
  • Strong teaching experience in music, drama, or dance
  • Experience in curriculum development and implementation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage and mentor a team of teachers

Preferred

  • Experience working with Nord Anglia Education or similar international school organizations
  • Familiarity with global education platforms and technologies
  • Experience in leading school productions and extra-curricular activities
  • Strong understanding of student tracking and monitoring systems
