The Opportunity:

We are seeking a Deputy Head of Primary School to lead and inspire a dynamic learning community. This role is pivotal in shaping the academic and pastoral direction of the primary school, ensuring alignment with the school’s strategic pillars of learning, enrichment, and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the primary school curriculum and pastoral care, ensuring alignment with the school’s mission and vision.
  • Support the Head of School in driving the strategic direction of the school, with a focus on learning, enrichment, and student well-being.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and reflective practice across the primary team.
  • Develop and implement high-quality teaching and learning strategies that promote student engagement and academic success.
  • Collaborate with staff, students, and parents to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Oversee and support the delivery of the school’s co-curricular and enrichment programs.
  • Ensure the well-being and holistic development of all students, with a strong emphasis on pastoral care and emotional intelligence.
  • Promote a collaborative and supportive school culture, working effectively with colleagues across all departments.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven leadership experience in a primary school setting, with a strong track record in teaching and school management.
  • In-depth understanding of the British curriculum and international education standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective learning strategies and pastoral care programs.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Commitment to the school’s mission, vision, and values, including a focus on student well-being and global citizenship.
  • Experience in managing and supporting staff development and professional growth.

Preferred

  • Experience working in an international school environment, particularly in the Middle East.
  • Familiarity with the International Baccalaureate (IB) or other globally recognized curricula.
  • Strong background in educational leadership and school improvement initiatives.
  • Experience in leading and managing co-curricular and enrichment programs.
  • Fluency in multiple languages, particularly English and Arabic.
