The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver engaging lessons in Islamic Studies following the UK curriculum standards
- Foster a respectful and inclusive classroom environment that supports diverse learning needs
- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that promote critical thinking and student engagement
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the school's academic and pastoral programs
- Communicate regularly with students, parents, and colleagues to support student progress and wellbeing
- Stay updated on current developments in Islamic theology, history, and contemporary issues
- Utilize educational technology to enhance instruction and student learning outcomes
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Minimum of 4 years teaching experience in Islamic Studies or related subjects
- Strong knowledge of Islamic theology, history, and contemporary issues
- Experience teaching the UK curriculum at secondary school level
- Ability to create lesson plans that meet curriculum standards and support diverse learners
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Proficiency in using educational technology for instruction
Preferred
- Experience in international or multicultural educational settings
- Strong background in pastoral care and student support
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) or similar qualifications
- Involvement in professional development and educational research
