Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver engaging lessons in Islamic Studies following the UK curriculum standards
  • Foster a respectful and inclusive classroom environment that supports diverse learning needs
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that promote critical thinking and student engagement
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the school's academic and pastoral programs
  • Communicate regularly with students, parents, and colleagues to support student progress and wellbeing
  • Stay updated on current developments in Islamic theology, history, and contemporary issues
  • Utilize educational technology to enhance instruction and student learning outcomes

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Minimum of 4 years teaching experience in Islamic Studies or related subjects
  • Strong knowledge of Islamic theology, history, and contemporary issues
  • Experience teaching the UK curriculum at secondary school level
  • Ability to create lesson plans that meet curriculum standards and support diverse learners
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills
  • Proficiency in using educational technology for instruction

Preferred

  • Experience in international or multicultural educational settings
  • Strong background in pastoral care and student support
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) or similar qualifications
  • Involvement in professional development and educational research
