The Opportunity:

As a Deputy Headteacher, you will play a pivotal role in leading and supporting the Early Years team, while contributing to the overall direction and success of the school. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a growing and evolving institution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Head of School to ensure curriculum consistency and alignment across key stages.
  • Lead curriculum development and provide guidance to the Early Years team.
  • Conduct performance appraisals and support staff growth and development.
  • Oversee administrative tasks, including schedules, staffing, and resource allocation for the EYFS department.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of student progress, attendance, and assessment outcomes.
  • Maintain records of staff performance, student progress, and department activities.
  • Coordinate with the operations team on purchasing, maintenance, and organisation of resources.
  • Promote a positive and safe learning environment that encourages good behaviour and respect.
  • Develop and implement assessment tools to monitor student progress and development.
  • Analyse assessment data to inform instructional practices and support individual student needs.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for EYFS parents, responding to concerns and enquiries.
  • Organise parent meetings, workshops, and events to strengthen home-school partnerships.
  • Lead weekly pastoral meetings to ensure consistent student support and maintain accurate records.
  • Deputise for the Head of School in their absence.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor Honours Degree in Education or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of the United Kingdom curriculum.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in an international school setting.
  • A passion for teaching and a commitment to fostering a love of learning in children.
  • Strong ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to thrive in a dynamic and evolving school environment.

Preferred

  • Specialisation in Early Years education.
  • Experience in leadership or management roles within an educational setting.
  • Experience with curriculum development and assessment practices.
  • Experience in pastoral care and student support.
