The Opportunity:

As the Head of Early Years / Deputy Head, you will lead and shape the early years curriculum, ensuring a high-quality educational experience for young learners. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact in a school that values innovation, inclusivity, and continuous growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead curriculum development and ensure alignment with the school’s educational vision.
  • Provide leadership and support to the Early Years team and contribute to the Senior Leadership Team.
  • Conduct performance appraisals and support staff development and growth.
  • Oversee administrative functions, including scheduling, staffing, and resource management.
  • Monitor and report on student progress, attendance, and assessment outcomes.
  • Coordinate with operations teams on the procurement and management of resources.
  • Promote a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Develop and implement assessment tools to support student learning and development.
  • Engage with parents through meetings, workshops, and events to build strong home-school partnerships.
  • Deputise for the Head of School in their absence.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor Honours Degree in Education or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of the United Kingdom curriculum.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in an international school setting.
  • Passion for teaching and a commitment to student learning.

Preferred

  • Experience in a leadership or management role within education.
  • Familiarity with early years educational frameworks.
  • Experience with safeguarding and child protection policies.
