Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality Design and Technology lessons across Key Stage 3, 4, and 5, including GCSE, A Level, and BTEC pathways.
• Plan and implement engaging schemes of work aligned with the UK National Curriculum and examination board requirements.
• Support students in developing their design process, from research and ideation to evaluation and practical making.
• Ensure a safe and stimulating learning environment in workshops, food rooms, and design studios.
• Use a range of teaching strategies, including digital technology and blended learning, to enhance student engagement and progress.
• Provide constructive feedback and guidance to students on coursework and non-examined assessments.
• Contribute to curriculum development and stay up to date with industry developments in Design and Technology.
• Support the pastoral development and wellbeing of students within the school community.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• A Bachelor’s Degree in a related subject with a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar teaching role.
• Mandatory experience working in an international school.
• Experience working with EAL students.

Preferred

• Recent and consistent involvement in extra-curricular activities.
• Strong interpersonal skills for communicating with parents in a multi-cultural environment.
• Experience in curriculum development and innovation in Design and Technology.
