The Opportunity:

As a Design Technology Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of STEAM education at a forward-thinking institution. This position offers the chance to teach IGCSE and IB Design Technology while contributing to the development of innovative, cross-curricular learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach IGCSE and IB Design Technology courses with a focus on real-world application
• Guide students through the design cycle, including CAD modelling, prototyping, and testing
• Support students in coursework and internal assessment development
• Maintain a safe and well-organised workshop environment
• Collaborate with colleagues in Science, Maths, Art, and ICT to develop interdisciplinary projects
• Contribute to school-wide innovation initiatives such as electives, clubs, and project weeks

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• A relevant degree in Design Technology, Engineering, Product/Industrial Design, or a related field
• UK QTS or an equivalent internationally recognised teaching qualification
• Strong subject knowledge in design
• Commitment to inclusive, student-centred teaching and learning
• Experience with CAD/CAM software
• Confidence in supervising safe, small-scale workshop prototyping

Preferred

• Experience with IGCSE or IB programmes
• A creative and flexible approach to curriculum design
• Experience in an international, intercultural environment
