Design Technology Teacher required for September 2026 - Permanent position with ECT applications welcomed.

We are seeking a passionate and innovative Design Technology Teacher to join our successful team, delivering high-quality lessons across Key Stages 3 to 5. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and innovative Design Technology lessons across all key stages.
  • Develop and implement a curriculum that promotes creativity, critical thinking, and practical skills.
  • Support students in achieving excellent academic outcomes, including A Level qualifications.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning across the department.
  • Participate in the planning and delivery of outdoor learning experiences.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and contribute to departmental initiatives.
  • Provide pastoral support and guidance to students as needed.
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and academic achievement in the classroom.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with QTS or eligible for ECT status.
  • Experience teaching Design Technology across Key Stages 3 to 5.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver a creative and engaging curriculum.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and reflective practice.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching A Level Design Technology.
  • Experience with outdoor learning and project-based teaching approaches.
  • Experience with CPD delivery or mentoring.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard design and technology tools and software.
