The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and innovative Design Technology Teacher to join our successful team, delivering high-quality lessons across Key Stages 3 to 5. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and innovative Design Technology lessons across all key stages.
- Develop and implement a curriculum that promotes creativity, critical thinking, and practical skills.
- Support students in achieving excellent academic outcomes, including A Level qualifications.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning across the department.
- Participate in the planning and delivery of outdoor learning experiences.
- Engage in continuous professional development and contribute to departmental initiatives.
- Provide pastoral support and guidance to students as needed.
- Maintain high standards of behaviour and academic achievement in the classroom.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with QTS or eligible for ECT status.
- Experience teaching Design Technology across Key Stages 3 to 5.
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver a creative and engaging curriculum.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and reflective practice.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience teaching A Level Design Technology.
- Experience with outdoor learning and project-based teaching approaches.
- Experience with CPD delivery or mentoring.
- Familiarity with industry-standard design and technology tools and software.
