The Opportunity:
We are seeking a dedicated and inspiring History Teacher to join a successful and supportive faculty. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality History education across all key stages.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach History to students across all key stages, ensuring engaging and effective lessons.
- Deliver high-quality lessons that promote critical thinking, analytical skills, and a deep understanding of historical events.
- Support students in achieving excellent outcomes at both GCSE and A Level.
- Work collaboratively with the humanities faculty to develop and implement a dynamic curriculum.
- Provide pastoral support and mentorship to students where appropriate.
- Participate in staff development and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) opportunities.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school through extra-curricular activities and events.
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly to ensure continued improvement.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant degree in History or a related subject.
- Experience teaching History at Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Strong classroom management and teaching skills.
- Commitment to student success and a passion for History.
- Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to a supportive school culture.
Preferred
- Experience teaching A Level History.
- Leadership experience or willingness to take on a subject leadership role.
- Experience with CPD and staff development.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Experience with pastoral support and student engagement.
