The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a Digital Marketing Assistant to enhance its online presence and promote its values and achievements. This role offers the chance to create engaging digital content, manage social media platforms, and support marketing campaigns that highlight the school’s unique offerings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, create, and publish engaging content for the school’s social media channels, including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, and more.
  • Capture and edit photos, videos, and graphics to highlight school life, events, and achievements.
  • Maintain a consistent tone of voice and visual identity in line with the school’s brand guidelines.
  • Monitor social media activity, respond to comments/messages, and escalate safeguarding or reputational concerns as needed.
  • Update and maintain the school’s website content using the content management system (CMS), ensuring accuracy and alignment with admissions priorities.
  • Assist in the creation and distribution of email campaigns, newsletters, and event invitations.
  • Support paid digital campaigns across platforms such as Google Ads and Meta Ads.
  • Promote school events, including open days, productions, sports fixtures, and concerts.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A good standard of general education; a degree or equivalent professional qualification is desirable.
  • Excellent knowledge of social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube).
  • Proficiency in CANVA, photo and video editing software, and social media management platforms (e.g., Hootsuite).
  • Strong photography and filmography skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) and familiarity with database software (e.g., SIMS).
  • A proactive attitude, creativity, and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • Empathy with the Christian ethos of the school.
  • A full driving licence and access to own transport.

Preferred

  • Experience in digital marketing or related fields.
  • Demonstrated success in managing social media campaigns.
  • Experience with content management systems (CMS) and website development.
  • Strong understanding of SEO and digital marketing best practices.
