Key Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic leadership and direction to the English department
• Drive improvement in student outcomes across Key Stages 3, 4 and Post-16
• Lead curriculum development and ensure alignment with global best practices

• Deliver high-quality professional development and coaching for staff

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified Teacher Status with a relevant degree and postgraduate teaching qualification
• Proven experience in middle or senior leadership within English education
• Demonstrated success in raising achievement and leading improvement
• Experience teaching across Key Stages 3, 4 and Post-16
• Strong strategic thinking and leadership skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Commitment to continuous professional development

Preferred

• Experience with international curricula such as the International Baccalaureate
• Familiarity with global educational research and best practice
• Experience in leading school-wide development initiatives
• Strong background in innovation and technology in education
