Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized learning plans tailored to the needs of students.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and support staff to ensure a cohesive approach to student support.
- Deliver high-quality, inclusive lessons that promote engagement and achievement.
- Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to students and parents.
- Participate in the school’s professional development programs and contribute to the sharing of best practices.
- Support students in developing social, emotional, and academic skills.
- Engage in extracurricular activities and community events to enhance the school experience.
- Stay up to date with current research and best practices in inclusion and special educational needs.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A BEd or Bachelor’s degree with PGCE / PGDE or equivalent qualification.
- Proven experience in teaching secondary level, specifically in a SendCo role.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver inclusive and differentiated instruction.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Commitment to the values of integrity, empathy, and fortitude.
- A proven track record of providing outstanding learning and teaching experiences.
Preferred
- Experience working with students with diverse learning needs.
- Familiarity with the National Curriculum of England and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.
- Experience in professional development and collaboration with external education networks.
- A growth mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and reflection.
