Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized learning plans tailored to the needs of students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and support staff to ensure a cohesive approach to student support.
  • Deliver high-quality, inclusive lessons that promote engagement and achievement.
  • Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to students and parents.
  • Participate in the school’s professional development programs and contribute to the sharing of best practices.
  • Support students in developing social, emotional, and academic skills.
  • Engage in extracurricular activities and community events to enhance the school experience.
  • Stay up to date with current research and best practices in inclusion and special educational needs.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A BEd or Bachelor’s degree with PGCE / PGDE or equivalent qualification.
  • Proven experience in teaching secondary level, specifically in a SendCo role.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver inclusive and differentiated instruction.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Commitment to the values of integrity, empathy, and fortitude.
  • A proven track record of providing outstanding learning and teaching experiences.

Preferred

  • Experience working with students with diverse learning needs.
  • Familiarity with the National Curriculum of England and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.
  • Experience in professional development and collaboration with external education networks.
  • A growth mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and reflection.
