Director of Primary Education needed to lead and develop primary education within a school.

The Opportunity:

The Director of Primary Education will provide strategic leadership and ensure high-quality education for all students. This is a key role in shaping the future of primary education within a school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the strategic development of primary education within the school.
  • Work closely with the CEO to ensure alignment with the overall vision and goals of the Trust.
  • Support and develop staff to deliver high-quality teaching and learning.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of the primary phase to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Ensure the school meets all statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Promote a culture of inclusion, innovation, and excellence across the primary phase.
  • Collaborate with other school leaders to drive whole-school improvement.
  • Represent the school at external events and meetings as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in leading and managing a primary school or similar educational setting.
  • Strong leadership and strategic planning skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Relevant teaching or leadership qualification (e.g., NPQSL, NPQH).

Preferred

  • Experience in working within a multi-academy trust or similar organization.
  • Experience in school improvement and performance management.
  • Familiarity with current educational policies and initiatives.
  • Experience in leading successful school inspections or Ofsted visits.
