The Opportunity:
The Director of Primary Education will provide strategic leadership and ensure high-quality education for all students. This is a key role in shaping the future of primary education within a school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the strategic development of primary education within the school.
- Work closely with the CEO to ensure alignment with the overall vision and goals of the Trust.
- Support and develop staff to deliver high-quality teaching and learning.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of the primary phase to ensure continuous improvement.
- Ensure the school meets all statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Promote a culture of inclusion, innovation, and excellence across the primary phase.
- Collaborate with other school leaders to drive whole-school improvement.
- Represent the school at external events and meetings as required.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in leading and managing a primary school or similar educational setting.
- Strong leadership and strategic planning skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Relevant teaching or leadership qualification (e.g., NPQSL, NPQH).
Preferred
- Experience in working within a multi-academy trust or similar organization.
- Experience in school improvement and performance management.
- Familiarity with current educational policies and initiatives.
- Experience in leading successful school inspections or Ofsted visits.
