The Opportunity:

As a Domestic Assistant, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment throughout the school. Your work will directly contribute to the comfort and well-being of students, staff, and visitors, ensuring that the school operates efficiently and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across all areas of the school
• Follow manufacturer instructions, COSHH regulations, and health and safety legislation when using equipment and chemicals
• Carry out daily and weekly cleaning routines, as well as any additional tasks as required
• Support other members of the domestic team in completing tasks efficiently
• Assist with laundry operations when necessary
• Report compliments, comments, and complaints to the relevant person
• Identify and report any defects, damage, theft, or hazards promptly
• Ensure all duties are carried out safely, with attention to the well-being of all individuals on site

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Experience in cleaning or maintenance roles
• Ability to follow health and safety procedures and COSHH regulations
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and report issues
• Ability to work as part of a team and support colleagues where needed

Preferred

• Experience in a school or educational setting
• Previous experience with laundry or housekeeping duties
• Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies
• Flexibility to work term-time only and on a part-time basis
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
