Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality mathematics lessons to students across a range of ability levels.
  • Develop and implement engaging and innovative teaching strategies that promote student achievement.
  • Support students in preparing for GCSE and A-level examinations with targeted intervention and enrichment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and continue professional development.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, planning, and assessment processes.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and attainment.
  • Engage in extracurricular activities and school events that promote a love of mathematics.
  • Provide pastoral support to students where appropriate and in line with school policies.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and a valid teaching qualification (e.g., QTS).
  • Experience teaching mathematics at Key Stage 3, GCSE, and A-level.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Preferred

  • Experience working with Early Career Teachers (ECTs) or leading professional development.
  • Experience in a collaborative and innovative teaching environment.
  • Familiarity with using technology to enhance teaching and learning.
  • Experience in leading or contributing to extracurricular activities related to mathematics.
