The Opportunity:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Early Years Music Teacher to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for someone who is dedicated to inspiring young learners through music and play. Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, play-based music lessons aligned with the EYFS curriculum.
  • Lead interactive sessions using singing, rhythm, movement, and simple instruments.
  • Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all learners, including those with SEND and EAL.
  • Observe and assess children's musical development in line with EYFS practices.
  • Support school performances, assemblies, and enrichment activities.
  • Maintain and organise music resources and ensure the safe use of instruments.
  • Communicate with parents regarding children's progress while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Uphold safeguarding, child protection, health, and safety policies at all times.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A high-quality degree in Music with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience teaching music in an EYFS setting.
  • Strong knowledge of music theory and its practical application in teaching.
  • Ability to demonstrate and model singing and performing in the classroom.

Preferred

  • Experience with inclusive teaching strategies for children with diverse learning needs.
  • Familiarity with using ICT and technology to enhance teaching and learning.
  • Commitment to professional development and collaboration within a school community.
