The Opportunity:
As an Early Years Practitioner, you will play a key role in shaping the early learning experiences of young children. You will help deliver the EYFS curriculum in a dynamic and supportive environment, fostering creativity, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and imaginative lessons aligned with the EYFS curriculum
- Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment
- Act as a Key Person to a group of children, supporting their social, emotional, and academic development
- Plan and deliver creative activities tailored to the needs of young learners
- Contribute to the wider life of the school through collaborative projects and events
- Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and children to ensure a consistent and supportive approach
- Ensure the health and safety of all children in line with safeguarding policies
- Support the continuous professional development of the school community
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in teaching young children
- Strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare
Preferred
- Experience in delivering cross-curricular lessons
- Background in arts, music, or creative learning
- Experience working in a small, independent school setting
- Demonstrated ability to build strong partnerships with parents and colleagues
