The Opportunity:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will support the Reception and KS1 curriculum and help create a stimulating learning environment that encourages curiosity and independence. This is a chance to make a meaningful impact on young learners during a crucial stage of their development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum
  • Assist in planning and delivering engaging activities that promote learning
  • Create attractive and informative displays to enhance the learning environment
  • Accompany children on educational trips and visits
  • Manage classroom resources and materials
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues
  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all students at all times
  • Encourage self-confidence and independence in young learners

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Level 3 Certificate in childcare or early years education
  • At least 2 years’ experience working with children aged 4-5 years old
  • Strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum and its principles
  • Basic knowledge of English and Maths
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred

  • Experience working with children aged 5-7 in Key Stage 1
  • Creativity and enthusiasm for working with young children
  • Experience in planning and delivering educational activities
  • Commitment to continuous professional development
