The Opportunity:

As a SEN Class Teacher KS1 or KS2, you will lead a small class of up to eight pupils with complex needs, supported by two teaching assistants. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape a growing and inclusive provision at an exciting stage of development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, individualised teaching to pupils with complex needs, including those with EHCPs.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and external professionals to support pupil progress.
  • Plan and implement engaging, inclusive lessons that meet the diverse needs of learners.
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing regular feedback to parents and carers.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of the school’s SEND provision.
  • Promote a culture of inclusion, kindness, and ambition across the school community.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports in line with school and statutory requirements.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with QTS and relevant teaching experience, preferably in a SEND setting.
  • Experience working with children with complex needs, including those with EHCPs.
  • Strong understanding of inclusive education and differentiated teaching strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to the values of belonging, kindness, curiosity, confidence, and ambition.

Preferred

  • Experience in a small school or community setting.
  • Knowledge of curriculum design and delivery for KS1 or KS2.
  • Experience with multi-agency collaboration and support planning.
  • Experience with behaviour management in a SEND setting.
