The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Nursery Class Teacher to join our dedicated team and make a meaningful impact on young learners. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment that encourages curiosity and exploration.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement effective teaching strategies and activities.
- Monitor and support the social, emotional, and cognitive development of each child.
- Maintain detailed records of student progress and communicate regularly with parents.
- Participate in staff development and professional learning opportunities.
- Promote a strong sense of community and collaboration within the school.
- Ensure the classroom is a welcoming and stimulating space for all children.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a valid teaching qualification and experience in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
- Proven ability to inspire and engage young children in a nurturing and stimulating environment.
- Strong understanding of child development and early education best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Preferred
- Experience working in a co-educational independent school setting.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Showcase School initiatives and digital innovation in education.
- Previous involvement in co-curricular activities or extracurricular programmes.
- Experience with teaching English as a Second Language (ESOL) or bilingual education.
