Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that align with the KS2 curriculum and promote a love of learning.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that supports the social, emotional, and academic development of all students.
  • Plan and implement effective teaching strategies that cater to diverse learning needs and abilities.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and support to help students achieve their full potential.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of teaching and learning across the school.
  • Work closely with parents and carers to support student development and maintain open lines of communication.
  • Participate in school events, professional development, and staff meetings to ensure a cohesive and supportive working environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in KS2 education.
  • Strong understanding of the National Curriculum and teaching methodologies for Lower KS2.
  • Commitment to creating a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and take initiative when required.

Preferred

  • Experience working with Early Career Teachers (ECTs) or a background in early childhood education.
  • Familiarity with innovative teaching practices and technology integration in the classroom.
  • A passion for the arts, drama, or music, with experience in delivering related activities.
  • Previous experience in a school that is part of a collaborative education network.
