Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Economics lessons aligned with the International Baccalaureate (DP) curriculum
  • Foster a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that encourages curiosity and academic excellence
  • Design and implement effective lesson plans tailored to the needs of students across Further Education stages
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support interdisciplinary learning and student development
  • Promote critical thinking and real-world application of economic principles
  • Provide individualised support to students to enhance their academic and personal growth
  • Stay current with developments in Economics and education practices
  • Participate in professional development and continuous learning initiatives

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Relevant Honours Degree and PGCE (or equivalent)
  • Previous teaching experience; enthusiasm for education is essential
  • Strong knowledge of Economics concepts suitable for IB curricula (DP)
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills
  • Ability to engage diverse learners and plan effective lessons for different age groups

Preferred

  • Experience with the International Baccalaureate (DP) programme
  • Strong understanding of global economic issues and their real-world implications
  • Experience in fostering inclusive and collaborative classroom environments
