Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Economics lessons aligned with the International Baccalaureate (DP) curriculum
- Foster a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that encourages curiosity and academic excellence
- Design and implement effective lesson plans tailored to the needs of students across Further Education stages
- Collaborate with colleagues to support interdisciplinary learning and student development
- Promote critical thinking and real-world application of economic principles
- Provide individualised support to students to enhance their academic and personal growth
- Stay current with developments in Economics and education practices
- Participate in professional development and continuous learning initiatives
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Relevant Honours Degree and PGCE (or equivalent)
- Previous teaching experience; enthusiasm for education is essential
- Strong knowledge of Economics concepts suitable for IB curricula (DP)
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Ability to engage diverse learners and plan effective lessons for different age groups
Preferred
- Experience with the International Baccalaureate (DP) programme
- Strong understanding of global economic issues and their real-world implications
- Experience in fostering inclusive and collaborative classroom environments
