The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Maths Teacher to join our dynamic team and support students in Years 5 to 8. This role offers the chance to contribute to a vibrant school community, with opportunities for professional growth and involvement in a wide range of extra-curricular activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Maths to Years 5 to 8 with a focus on academic excellence and student engagement.
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of the curriculum, including the Dragon QUEST enrichment programme.
  • Participate in extra-curricular activities and school events, including sports and cultural initiatives.
  • Support the pastoral care of students and promote the school’s values of kindness, courage, and respect.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a consistent and high-quality educational experience.
  • Engage in professional development and contribute to the ongoing innovation of the school’s curriculum.
  • Assist in the assessment and reporting of student progress.
  • Support the wider school community through involvement in leadership and mentorship roles.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching Maths to Years 5 to 8, or equivalent Key Stage 2 experience in a primary school.
  • Commitment to the school’s values and mission.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and take on additional responsibilities.

Preferred

  • Experience in a senior school or prep school setting.
  • Experience with Dragon QUEST or similar enrichment programmes.
  • Leadership or mentoring experience.
  • Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and curriculum development.
