The Opportunity:
We are seeking an inspiring ELL Teacher and Coordinator to join a dynamic and forward-thinking school. This role offers the opportunity to shape the educational journey of students, supporting their academic and personal growth. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality ELL instruction and leading the ELL Faculty.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective ELL teaching strategies that support diverse learners.
- Coordinate ELL programs and ensure alignment with school-wide goals and curriculum standards.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to provide holistic support for ELL students.
- Monitor and assess student progress using data to inform instructional practices and interventions.
- Deliver high-quality lessons that are engaging, inclusive, and aligned with the British curriculum.
- Support students in developing language skills across all subjects and learning levels.
- Participate in professional development and contribute to the continuous improvement of ELL programs.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and success.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A good honours degree and a QTS or PGCE teaching qualification, preferably from the UK.
- Minimum of two years’ experience teaching ELL or similar subjects.
- Demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate students with diverse abilities and backgrounds.
- Strong understanding of ELL pedagogy and curriculum requirements.
- Commitment to student wellbeing, pastoral care, and safeguarding.
- Willingness to teach ELL through to A level and other science subjects to KS3 and/or KS4.
Preferred
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) or similar qualifications.
- Experience in a British curriculum school or international school setting.
- Strong leadership and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities.
- Proven track record in delivering academic excellence and student achievement.
- Fluency in additional languages and experience working with multilingual students.
