Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and innovative English and EAL lessons to students across a range of ages and abilities.
  • Support students in developing strong language skills and confidence in both spoken and written English.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and effective approach to teaching and learning.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted support and feedback to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to the development of curriculum and teaching resources aligned with the school’s educational vision.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to create a supportive learning community.
  • Participate in professional development and school events to support a culture of continuous learning and growth.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in English and EAL education.
  • Strong subject knowledge in English and experience working with students from diverse linguistic backgrounds.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues.
  • Proven ability to design and deliver effective lesson plans and assessments.
  • Commitment to the values of kindness, inclusivity, and academic excellence.

Preferred

  • Experience with alternative qualifications and innovative teaching methods.
  • Familiarity with the use of technology in the classroom.
  • Background in teaching psychology or related subjects.
