Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality, concept-driven lessons in English and BTEC Creative Media courses across Key Stages 4 and 5.
• Support the school’s commitment to academic excellence, creativity, and student agency.
• Promote strong literacy, digital competence, and critical thinking skills among students.
• Contribute to curriculum development, assessment quality assurance, and enrichment programmes.
• Collaborate with colleagues to innovate and lead within the department.
• Ensure all students are challenged and supported to reach their full potential.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement and achievement.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Experience teaching GCSE English is essential.
• A B.Ed. or degree in a related subject and PGCE / PGDE or equivalent with exceptional subject knowledge.
• A proven track record of outstanding learning and teaching.
• A mindset that believes all students have the potential for top performance and the drive to enable them to achieve it.

Preferred

• Experience with A Level/IB and/or BTEC Creative Media courses.
• Experience contributing to curriculum development and assessment quality assurance.
• Strong experience in digital literacy and creative media education.
