Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and student-led English lessons at both GCSE and A Level.
- Plan and implement a curriculum that meets the standards of the British education system.
- Use technology effectively to enhance the learning experience of students.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support departmental goals and initiatives.
- Contribute to the development of extracurricular activities that enrich student life.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes high aspirations.
- Support students in developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills through a Design Thinking approach.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of students in accordance with the school's safeguarding policies.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Undergraduate degree in English Literature or Language.
- PGCE in Secondary English.
- Experience teaching in a British school or British Curriculum school.
- Experience with AQA, Edexcel, or equivalent exam boards.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver outstanding teaching practice or potential to become outstanding.
- Strong planning and classroom delivery skills.
- Passion for English and a commitment to inspiring student learning.
Preferred
- Experience with technology-enhanced learning environments.
- Experience in leading or contributing to departmental initiatives.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Involvement in extracurricular activities or community engagement.
