Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging English lessons up to and including GCSE, with opportunities for KS5
• Implement effective classroom management and teaching strategies
• Support individual learning needs and ensure consistent progress for all students
• Maintain high standards of behavior and discipline
• Utilize homework and extra-curricular activities to enhance learning
• Collaborate with other staff members to create a positive learning environment
• Contribute to the development of the English curriculum and extra-curricular programs
• Uphold the school’s values and commitment to safeguarding

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified Teacher Status
• Passion for teaching and student development
• Understanding of inclusion and strategies for engaging diverse learners
• Commitment to safeguarding in a school setting

Preferred

• Experience teaching English at KS3, KS4, and KS5
• Strong classroom management skills
• Experience with extra-curricular activities or leadership roles
• Familiarity with the Sigma Trust and its educational values
