Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality Geography lessons that meet curriculum requirements and support student progress.
- Manage a classroom effectively, promoting positive behaviour and a safe learning environment.
- Use a range of teaching strategies to engage and challenge students of all abilities.
- Support individual learning needs and provide targeted interventions where necessary.
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly, ensuring consistent improvement.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the school and trust to share best practices and improve teaching standards.
- Participate in extra-curricular activities and contribute to the wider life of the school.
- Maintain accurate records of student work and progress.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- A passion for teaching and a commitment to student success
- Experience in delivering Geography at Key Stage 3 and 4 (GCSE)
- Understanding of inclusive teaching strategies and classroom management
- Commitment to safeguarding and the welfare of students
Preferred
- Experience in teaching at Key Stage 5 (A-Level)
- Strong subject knowledge in Geography
- Experience with curriculum development and assessment
- Experience in working within a multi-academy trust or similar collaborative setting
