The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach History to students up to and including GCSE, with opportunities for KS5 depending on experience
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons that promote progression and learning across all spectrums of ability and background
  • Implement effective classroom management strategies and maintain high standards of behaviour and discipline
  • Support individual learning needs and positively target student progress through targeted interventions
  • Utilize homework and extra-curricular learning opportunities to enhance student achievement
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the trust to share best practices and improve teaching methods
  • Work with other adults in the classroom to ensure a safe and effective learning environment

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • A passion for teaching and a commitment to student success
  • A professional understanding of inclusion and strategies for engaging learners
  • A commitment to safeguarding in a school setting

Preferred

  • Experience teaching History up to GCSE or KS5 level
  • Experience with curriculum development and delivery
  • Strong classroom management and behaviour management skills
  • Experience working in a multi-academy trust or similar collaborative environment
