Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging English lessons that meet the needs of all students.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that promote student progress and achievement.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to share resources and best practices.
  • Support students in achieving excellent GCSE and A Level results.
  • Participate in regular professional development and contribute to departmental planning.
  • Foster positive relationships with students and maintain a strong classroom culture.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Stay up to date with curriculum developments and educational research.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge.
  • Experience in teaching English at Key Stage 3 and 4.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Commitment to student achievement and professional development.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching A Level English.
  • Previous experience within a multi-academy trust.
  • Experience with curriculum development and resource creation.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
