Key Responsibilities:
- Teach a broad and balanced English curriculum, incorporating poetry, prose, and drama.
- Foster a love of reading and writing through engaging and innovative lesson planning.
- Support students in developing critical thinking, creativity, and communication skills.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the school to enhance teaching and learning.
- Encourage student leadership and participation in school-wide initiatives.
- Integrate ICT into lessons to enhance learning and engagement.
- Work closely with parents to support student progress and development.
- Promote a positive and inclusive school culture that values diversity and respect.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in English education.
- Strong subject knowledge and passion for teaching English.
- Experience working with children aged 3-13, ideally in a co-educational setting.
- Commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion in the classroom.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Preferred
- Experience with ICT integration in the classroom.
- Background in teaching both traditional and modern literature.
- Experience in pastoral care or student leadership development.
- Familiarity with the Stowe Group or similar educational institutions.
