Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver effective and engaging teaching to individuals, groups, and classes, ensuring students achieve high standards.
  • Develop and monitor clear learning objectives aligned with the National Curriculum and school policies.
  • Assess student progress and set targets for improvement, using data to inform teaching strategies.
  • Plan lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students, including those who are underachieving or very able.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to support student success.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status and a recognised degree.
  • Proven ability as an excellent classroom practitioner.
  • Strong understanding of the secondary curriculum and English teaching methods.
  • Experience in raising student performance and achievement.
  • Familiarity with pedagogical theories and practices.

Preferred

  • Experience in developing and delivering innovative teaching and learning strategies.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working within a multi-academy trust or similar educational setting.
