Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality science lessons to students across all key stages.
• Develop and implement engaging and innovative teaching strategies.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted support where needed.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to departmental development.
• Participate in weekly professional development and training sessions.
• Support students in their academic and personal growth.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.
• Contribute to the wider life of the school through extracurricular activities and events.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified teacher with a relevant science degree and QTS.
• Experience in teaching science at secondary level.
• Strong subject knowledge and the ability to inspire student interest in science.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

• Experience with curriculum development or leadership within a science department.
• Previous experience with early career teachers or mentoring.
• Familiarity with teaching English as a second language.
• Experience with ITT or teacher training programs.
