Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Key Stage 3, GCSE, and A Level English with a focus on student achievement and engagement.
  • Deliver high-quality, innovative lessons that reflect curricular developments and promote a love of learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support continuous professional development and reflective practice.
  • Participate actively in co-curricular activities and enrichment opportunities.
  • Provide pastoral support and guidance to students as part of a strong, supportive community.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to help students achieve their full potential.
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of the school’s academic and extra-curricular programme.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports in line with school procedures.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a strong academic background in English.
  • Experience teaching Key Stage 3, GCSE, and A Level English.
  • Commitment to collaborative, reflective teaching practice.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve high standards.

Preferred

  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
  • Early Careers Teachers with strong potential and a passion for education.

  • Familiarity with IT innovation and digital teaching tools.
