The Opportunity:

As an English Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the academic and personal development of students across multiple key stages. You will be part of a passionate and dedicated Languages Department, contributing to a curriculum based on the UK National Curriculum and adapted for an international context.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach English to Key Stage 3, IGCSE, and A-Level students with a range of abilities.
  • Deliver engaging and challenging lessons that inspire a love of language and literature.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance the school’s English curriculum.
  • Support students in achieving academic success and personal growth.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a positive learning environment.
  • Contribute to the broader school community through extracurricular activities and professional development.
  • Participate in school events and initiatives that promote the school’s mission and values.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience teaching English to Key Stage 3, IGCSE, and A-Level students.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with students of diverse backgrounds and abilities.
  • Commitment to the school’s mission and values.
  • Willingness to contribute to the development of the Languages Department.

Preferred

  • Experience with the IPC curriculum in Primary education.
  • Familiarity with Cambridge IGCSE and A-Level qualifications.
  • Experience working in an international school setting.
  • Demonstrated leadership or mentoring experience.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
