The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans aligned with the school’s curriculum and student needs.
  • Adapt teaching strategies to support diverse learning abilities and ensure student progress.
  • Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and motivating learning environment that promotes creativity and self-expression.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistency in teaching practices and student support.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and behavior.
  • Attend professional development sessions and school meetings to stay updated on curriculum changes and best practices.
  • Participate in school events and activities that promote the arts and student engagement.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Native speaker with a valid passport from the US, UK, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, Ireland, or South Africa.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field, along with an internationally recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS).
  • Minimum of 3 years of international teaching experience at the primary level.
  • Strong knowledge of performance art and creative teaching methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a classroom and support student development.

Preferred

  • Experience with curriculum development and lesson planning.
  • Familiarity with the Ontario, Canada Curriculum.
  • Experience with international schools or multicultural environments.
  • Strong background in drama, music, or visual arts.
