Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans aligned with the school’s curriculum and student needs.
- Adapt teaching strategies to support diverse learning abilities and ensure student progress.
- Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback to enhance learning outcomes.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and motivating learning environment that promotes creativity and self-expression.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistency in teaching practices and student support.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and behavior.
- Attend professional development sessions and school meetings to stay updated on curriculum changes and best practices.
- Participate in school events and activities that promote the arts and student engagement.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Native speaker with a valid passport from the US, UK, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, Ireland, or South Africa.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field, along with an internationally recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS).
- Minimum of 3 years of international teaching experience at the primary level.
- Strong knowledge of performance art and creative teaching methodologies.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a classroom and support student development.
Preferred
- Experience with curriculum development and lesson planning.
- Familiarity with the Ontario, Canada Curriculum.
- Experience with international schools or multicultural environments.
- Strong background in drama, music, or visual arts.
