Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach English to Key Stage 3, IGCSE, and A-Level students.
  • Design and deliver engaging, challenging, and inclusive lessons that promote student achievement and a love of learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement the school’s curriculum and pedagogical strategies.
  • Support students of varying abilities and backgrounds to reach their full potential.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and performance.
  • Participate in school events, professional development, and extracurricular activities.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a positive and supportive learning environment.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Languages Department and the school as a whole.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in teaching English at Key Stage 3, IGCSE, and A-Level.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds and abilities.
  • Commitment to the school’s mission and values.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred

  • Experience with the UK National Curriculum and international education contexts.
  • Experience with the IPC or Cambridge IGCSE/A-Level pathways.
  • Demonstrated leadership or mentoring experience.
  • Proficiency in using digital tools and resources in the classroom.
  • A passion for English literature and language education.
