The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:
- Teach English to students across Key Stage 3, 4, and potentially 5, delivering engaging and challenging lessons.
- Develop and implement effective lesson plans that align with the school’s curriculum and learning outcomes.
- Support students in achieving their academic potential through individualized feedback and targeted interventions.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the English department.
- Participate in the school’s professional development programme to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
- Monitor student progress and provide regular assessments to ensure learning objectives are met.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
- Engage with parents and carers to support student learning and development.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in teaching English.
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver high-quality lessons.
- Experience in teaching Key Stage 3 and 4 English.
- Commitment to student success and a passion for teaching.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching Key Stage 5 English.
- Familiarity with the use of digital tools in the classroom.
- Experience with inclusive teaching strategies and pastoral support.
- Strong leadership and teamwork skills.
