A History Teacher is needed to cover a maternity leave starting in September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced teacher to contribute to a supportive and vibrant learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality History lessons that engage and inspire students.
• Plan and deliver lessons that align with the curriculum and promote student achievement.
• Monitor and assess student progress to support learning and development.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning across the school.
• Participate in professional development and school improvement initiatives.
• Maintain strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Support the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
• Contribute to extracurricular activities and enrichment opportunities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified teacher with relevant experience in History education.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience in developing and delivering effective lesson plans.
• Commitment to student welfare and safeguarding.

Preferred

• Experience in teaching at Key Stage 3 and 4.
• Experience with pastoral care and student support.
• Familiarity with inclusive education and differentiated teaching strategies.
• Experience with CPD and professional development.
