The Opportunity:

As a Maths Programme Manager, you will lead the implementation of a transformative maths initiative, ensuring high-quality resources and support for schools. This role offers the chance to shape curriculum development, influence national maths education, and make a meaningful impact on student outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the implementation and delivery of the Maths Excellence Programme across years 3-5.
  • Lead the development of high-quality lesson resources and CPD materials for the Pearson Extended Maths Certificate (EMC).
  • Manage and mentor Maths Excellence Developers to ensure consistent and high-standard resource creation.
  • Support schools through visits, lesson observations, and curriculum reviews to ensure effective delivery.
  • Collaborate with external partners and evaluation teams to contribute to a high-profile, nationally visible project.
  • Provide expert guidance to school leaders on curriculum design, resource development, and student support.
  • Use data to inform decision-making and ensure the programme meets its goals.
  • Ensure alignment with national standards and the school’s educational vision.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience as Head of Department, Curriculum Leader, or equivalent.
  • Strong track record in teaching Higher GCSE Mathematics.
  • Experience in coaching and developing colleagues.
  • Experience in curriculum design, sequencing, and resource creation.
  • Deep mathematical knowledge, including beyond the National Curriculum.
  • Secure understanding of data to support decision-making.
  • Strong leadership and project-management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work across multiple schools.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching KS5.
  • Experience with the Pearson EMC qualification (or similar).
  • Experience supporting multiple schools or working in a MAT.
