The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated English Teacher to join our dynamic department and contribute to the academic success of students from KS3 through to A Level. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality English lessons to students across KS3, GCSE, and A Level.
  • Ensure consistent and excellent examination results through effective teaching and assessment strategies.
  • Participate in the planning and delivery of a varied and engaging curriculum.
  • Contribute to the school’s co-curricular programme and support student development outside the classroom.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and maintain the high standards of the department.
  • Support students in their academic and personal development through pastoral care and mentorship.
  • Engage in professional development and continuing teacher training.
  • Take part in school events, trips, and other activities that enhance the student experience.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in teaching English at KS3, GCSE, and A Level.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging and effective lessons.
  • Commitment to student success and a track record of achieving excellent results.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading or contributing to departmental initiatives.
  • Ability to offer an additional subject or extra-curricular activity.
  • Experience with pastoral care and student support.
  • Familiarity with co-educational environments.
